Per-recipient read receipts for Gmail. See who opened your email and your files, how often, and when.

Install the extension

1. Download the extension and unzip it into a folder you keep. Chrome loads it from there, so don't delete the folder.
2. Open chrome://extensions and switch on Developer mode (top right).
3. Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder.
4. Click the Readout icon in the toolbar, open Settings, and enter:
   Server URL: https://readout.iearul.xyz
   API key: the key you got from the server owner.
5. Click Save and test, then reload Gmail.

Send a tracked email

1. Write a new email in Gmail. Next to Send you see ◉ Tracking on.
2. To attach a file you want to track, use 📎 Tracked file instead of Gmail's paperclip.
3. Click Send, check the recipient list, and confirm.
4. Open the email in your Sent folder to see who opened it. The extension icon → Dashboard shows every open with its time.

Opens are only seen when the recipient's email app loads images. Apple Mail can load images automatically, so opens from Apple Mail users can show up even when they never read the email.
